Casa Spam: trucchi e consigli antispam

Le lotterie in rete, o meglio le truffe ordite ai danni degli incauti con la scusa delle lotterie, pare vadano ancora di moda, nonostante se ne parli molto in giro e perfino il programma Striscia la Notizia abbia dedicato loro diversi servizi. Ecco un messaggio della (falsa) lotteria di Yahoo:

Potete anche divertirvi a rispondere all’email, l’importante è che non forniate a sconosciuti i vostri dati personali…

Dopo un periodo di relativa calma sembrano tornare di moda le false vincite al lotto. Soltanto oggi ho vinto circa un fantastiliardo di euro a una serie di lotterie che non ho mai sentito nominare, figuriamoci come posso aver comprato il biglietto!
Simpatico anche il fatto che, avendo più caselle email, ho vinto il premio più volte per la stessa lotteria. Ecco il testo di una falsa vincita in Spagna:

In caso di comunicazioni come questa vale sempre la solita regola: usate la testa! Come è possibile che abbiate vinto al lotto senza nemmeno comprare il biglietto? Come hanno fatto conoscere il vostro indirizzo email? Sarebbe bello ritrovarsi un milione di euro senza fatica ma purtroppo non è così.
Il meccanismo della truffa è semplice: contattando questi signori per maggiori spiegazioni vi verrà richiesto di anticipare dei soldi per delle spese prima di incassare il malloppo …. incasso che ovviamente non arriverà mai.

Il messaggio inizia mostrandoci un tracking number, un numero di riferimento e niente meno che un codice segreto…
Poi il truffatore, a cui scriverò, mi informa che sono stato selezionato per un premio di 500.000 GBP (suppongo Great Britain Pounds, sterline inglesi, un bel gruzzolo…) da un database di 250.000 email…
Insomma siamo alle solite, pare che la fantasia dei truffatori di questo genere di lotterie sia monotona… sempre le email selezionate. Magari un giorno qualcuno ci spiegherà come sia possibile guadagnare soldi selezionando email.
C’è di mezzo questa British American Tobacco Lottery…

Seguirò le istruzioni di questo amico, rispondendo all’email con il numero di riferimento e il codice segretissimo che mi preoccuperò di non divulgare…

Siamo alle solite: le solite notifiche di vincite di lotterie. E quali potevano essere se non le banali lotterie legate all’estrazione di indirizzi email?

Ma vi immaginate qualcuno che "estrae" degli indirizzi email? Ne tira fuori uno e quel tale ha vinto la bellezza di un milione di euro? Un milione di euro! E come e da chi viene finanziata questa ridicola lotteria?

Facciamoci due risate col testo del messaggio:

E il bello è che, dopo diverso tempo, qualche anno, che questi messaggi truffa giravano, ha cominciato a parlarne anche il programma televisivo Striscia la Notizia, con Moreno Morello che ingaggiava una corsa coi truffatori presi in castagna.
Quindi a questo punto mi chiedo: o i signori truffatori non vedono Striscia, o sono talmente stupidi da pensare che esista ancora qualcuno che crede alle loro frottole.

Ora spedisco un’email per reclamare la mia fantomatica vincita. Nell’attesa di una risposta vi lascio nella più completa suspence…

Incredibile! La sorte si sta finalmente ricordando di noi! Dopo anni e anni di sfiga malefica una bella botta di fortuna doveva essere in arrivo. Statisticamente provato!
Nientemeno che il lotto olandese, o spagnolo (di solito questa volta si tratta di un paese europeo) ci avvisa di una nostra vincita. Sono discreti ed efficienti, non ci disturbano con una telefonata o con una letterina, di quelle cartacee, ci mandano addirittura una mail (potenza della tecnologia)!!

Come nel caso della truffa nigeriana rispondendo alla mail si scopre che i fantastilioni sono lì da prendere ma, sfortunatamente, c’è qualche piccolo intoppo. Niente di serio, per carità, qualche cavillo burocratico o qualche ruota da ungere un po’ per velocizzare le pratiche. Insomma, per avere i soldi bisonga anticipare qualcosina; la truffa è tutta qui.

E’ importante notare che nella scelta delle potenziali vittime questi ingegnosi truffatori non si affidano a raffinate scelte di marketing e non cercano di identificare il profilo psicologico delle potenziali vittime. Semplicemente sparano a lupara, generando in un solo giogno anche centinaia di migliaia di email dirette a indirizzi “scelti” rigorosamente a caso, cioè raccolti qua e là su internet. Io personalmente ho una decina di indirizzi email, alcuni dei quali particolarmente bersagliato da spammer di varia natura; succede così che in giorni particolarmente “fortunati” arrivo a vincere anche qualche decina di fatastilioni: uno per ogni indirizzo. Che c… fortuna!
Un dettaglio “tecnico” che mi fa sorridere è l’indirizzo email del mittente. Con mezzo secondo di attenzione ci si rende conto di quanto sia improbabile che il lotto, per esempio, spagnolo, mi mandi una mail da un indirizzo cecoslovacco o meglio ancora da un account gratuito aperto su hotmail o su tiscali, giusto per fare due esempi.

La famosa lotteria che da anni imperversa nelle nostre caselle email, rompendo le scatole ai più, facendo sperare e sognare gli ingenui. Ha anche altri nomi, ma le parole National Lottery compaiono sempre.
Di questa falsa lotteria ha parlato varie volte il programma satirico Striscia la notizia.
